Using your forwarding address

Send email to Quoflow from Gmail, Google Workspace or any other inbox.

Every workspace has its own forwarding address, shown at the top of the Inbox page. It looks like jobs-7k2m9x@in.quoflow.co.nz. Each email sent to it becomes a job, with the plans taken from its attachments or download links. Replies about an existing job are added to that job, and spam and automatic notifications are set aside.

Use it for any inbox Quoflow doesn’t connect to directly: Gmail, Google Workspace, other email providers, merchant quote portals that send email, and website enquiry forms.

Two ways to use it

Forward everything automatically

Set up a forwarding rule in your email so new messages are copied to your Quoflow address. You can forward all mail, or only some, for example email sent to your quotes address or email from particular merchants. Most providers offer this in their settings, usually under forwarding, filters or rules.

  1. Copy your forwarding address from the Inbox page.
  2. In your email provider, add it as a forwarding address. Some providers, including Gmail, send a confirmation email to the new address first. It appears under Recently forwarded on the Inbox page, with the confirmation code in its subject.
  3. Create a rule or filter that forwards the messages you want. Keep a copy in your own inbox.
  4. Send yourself a test quote request with a plan attached, and check that it appears in Quoflow.

In Gmail and Google Workspace, forwarding is set up in Gmail’s settings, and filters can forward only matching messages. In Google Workspace, your administrator may need to allow automatic forwarding first.

Forward individual emails by hand

For the odd request that lands somewhere else, forward it to your Quoflow address as you normally would. Forward it with its attachments.

Limits

  • Attachments can be up to 40 MB per email.
  • Keep your forwarding address within your team. Anyone who has it can send email into your workspace.
Microsoft 365?
If your inbox is on Microsoft 365 or Outlook, connecting it directly is usually simpler than forwarding.
