Checking a plan, step by step
A detailed walk through the plan review screen: the door list, pages used, pinned pages and warnings.
The plan review screen shows the plan on one side and the doors Quoflow found on the other. Your job is to confirm each door is real, in the right place, and the right type and size.
The layout
- The plan: zoom with your mouse wheel or trackpad, drag to move around, and use the page controls to change sheets.
- The door list: every door with its mark, room, type and size. Select a door to jump to it on the plan.
- Pins: each door is pinned on the plan where it was found. Pins help you check position and count at a glance.
Pages used
At the top of the review, Pages used lists every sheet the doors were found on, such as the floor plans and the door schedule. Click a page to jump straight to it. These are the pages worth checking; you rarely need to look through engineering, site or services sheets.
Pinning pages
Use Pin page on any sheet you keep going back to, for example a door schedule or a joinery elevation. Pinned pages stay at the top of the review so you can flick between them quickly.
Checking each door
- Select the door and look at it on the plan.
- Check the type: hinged, cavity slider, wardrobe slider, hinged pair, bi-parting cavity slider, cupboard and so on.
- Check the size against the schedule or the dimension on the plan. Many plans don’t give door sizes; then Quoflow fills in the standard size (for example 1980 high) and marks it Assumed. Type over it if the door is different.
- Check the room and any notes, such as fire rating, acoustic rating, glazing or hardware.
- Correct anything that’s wrong, then tick the door (or press Correct, next door). Ticking a door accepts the size shown, including an assumed one.
To fill every missing size at once, use Fill all now in the note at the top of the door list.
Adding and removing doors
- Missed a door? Add it with its room, type and size. Watch for tags like “2x 910 CS”, which means two cavity sliders, not one.
- Not a door you supply? Remove it, for example an exterior door, a garage door or a door listed as existing or by others.
Warnings
Some doors show a warning in plain English, such as Door leaf only, Supply only or Optional door. Where possible, the warning quotes the line of the customer’s email or the note on the plan it’s based on, so you can decide quickly. A warning is a prompt to check, not an error.
Saving your progress
Your changes save as you go. If you need to stop halfway, just leave the page: when you come back, the review opens at the door you were on. You don’t need to finish a job in one sitting.
Finishing
Press Price it to see every door’s product and price beside the plan (see Pricing a job). When you’re happy, Mark as reviewed and save price.
