Jobs that need plans

What to do when plans sit behind a download link or a merchant portal, or the wrong set was read.

Plans sent as a link

Many requests send plans as a download link instead of an attachment. Quoflow fetches plans from common file-sharing links automatically. Some links can’t be fetched, for example ones that need a sign-in, have expired, or point to a folder with hundreds of files. In that case the job shows that plans are needed.

Plans in a merchant portal

Some merchants send a notification email and keep the plans in their own portal. Those jobs show a portal card with the request reference and three steps:

Open the request in the merchant’s portal.
Download the plans.
Use Add plans to upload them to the job. Quoflow reads them straight away.

Adding plans yourself

You can add plans to any job. Drag the PDF onto the job, or use Add plans. Quoflow reads new plans automatically.

Revised plans and more than one set

When revised plans arrive, Quoflow uses the newest version. If a job has two different drawing sets and it’s not clear which is current, the job is flagged so a person can choose. Mark the older set as superseded and the job is read again with the current set.

Very large jobs

Very large commercial sets are flagged before reading so they don’t use up the workspace’s reading budget by surprise. Check the set is right, remove sheets from other trades if you can, then start the reading.
