A door was missed or wrong
How to fix a missed or incorrect door, and help us improve.
Every job is reviewed by a person before it’s priced, so a missed or wrong door is caught at review rather than on a quote. Here’s how to fix it, and how to tell us.
Fixing it on the job
- Open the job and find the door on the plan.
- If a door was missed, add it, with its room, type and size.
- If a size or type is wrong, correct it.
- If something was picked up that isn’t a door you supply, remove it.
- Finish checking the remaining doors and mark the job as reviewed.
See Reviewing doors for the full process.
Common causes
- Low-quality scans. Faint or low-resolution drawings make small labels hard to read. Ask for the original PDF where you can.
- Missing sheets. If the door schedule wasn’t attached, sizes come from the floor plan alone.
- Plans that disagree. When the schedule and floor plan show different sizes, check with the customer which one is current.
- Revised plans. If new plans arrived, make sure you’re reviewing the latest version.
